Your Holiday Insurance
We have arranged Comprehensive Travel Insurance that is suitable for the
holidays on this website. Details of the cover and premiums are given below.
Under the Association of British Insurers General Code of Practice, listed
below is a summary of the cover provided by the insurance. A copy of the full
terms and conditions is available upon request. Please note that it is the
responsibility of each client to ensure that they receive a policy document
from us, and familiarise themselves with the terms and conditions. Particular
attention should be paid to the warranty below. In the case of any dispute the
wording of the policy shall prevail.
A copy of the insurance policy is available.
You should read the policy carefully.
Policy Document: The insurance policy contains all of the
details of what is and is not covered together with conditions of this. As
cover varies from policy to policy and insurer to insurer you should make
yourself aware of the terms of the cover as soon as possible.
Cooling Off Period: If you have justifiable reason for being
unhappy with the insurance and can demonstrate that you have purchased a policy
with cover that we consider satisfactory for this holiday we will refund your
premium provided your request is within 7 days of purchasing the policy and
before you travel.
Conditions and Exclusions: Conditions and Exclusions apply to
individual sections of the policy while General Conditions and General
Exclusions apply to the whole policy.
Warranty: When buying this insurance you warrant (promise) that
you qualify for this insurance in accordance with the terms below.
You do not qualify for this insurance if:
-
You are aware of any reason why the holiday could be cancelled or curtailed;
-
Any person named on the schedule will be travelling against the advice of a
doctor or for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment;
-
Any person named on the schedule or any member of his/her family is undergoing
tests for any illness or condition for which a definite diagnosis has not been
given;
-
Any person named on the schedule or any member of his/her family has a terminal
illness.
Hazardous pursuits and activities: The insurance will not cover
hang gliding, racing (other than on foot), parachuting, mountaineering or rock
climbing (necessistating the use of ropes for support), pot holing, bungee
jumping, jet skiing, scuba diving (unless diving with a current valid
internationally recognised scuba diving certificate or accompanied by a fully
qualified scuba diving instructor), travelling in a privately registered single
engine aircraft, travelling in a privately owned vessel in International
waters, wilful exposure to risk (except in an attempt to save human life).
Policy Excess: You will be required to pay the first amount of
any claim under certain sections of this insurance.
Date recognition failure: Your policy contains exclusions for
losses from the failure of equipment to correctly recognise a calendar date.
Policy Limits: The insurance has maximum amounts that can be
paid under each section and for certain items within each section. The summary
of cover below outlines the purpose of the cover and the financial limits.
Property claims: Payment for property will be the value of the
goods at the time you lose them (or repair cost if they are damaged and this is
lower) and not the replacement cost on a Ònew for oldÓ basis.
Reasonable Care: You must take all reasonable care to protect
yourself and your property, as you would if you were not insured.
Complaints: The insurance includes a procedure which tells you
what steps you can take if you wish to make a complaint.
Jurisdiction: The insurance is governed by English Law unless
you and your insurer have agreed otherwise.
If you would like more information you should ask us.
A copy of the full terms and conditions is available upon request. Please note
that it is the responsibility of each client to ensure that they receive a
policy document from us, and familiarise themselves with the terms and
