Scotland, Crieff
Crieff is the main town of Strathearn lying on the southern edge of the Scottish Highlands. It has been a holiday resort since Victorian times and is the second largest town in Perthshire with a population of almost 6000.
The town spills from the Knock, the wooded hill above, down to the River Earn. James Square with it's fountain marks the centre of the town. There are a number of tourist attractions such as Crieff Visitor Centre, Glenturret Distillery (Scotland's oldest) and hotels including the grand Victorian spa - the Crieff Hydro. ITINERARY DAY 1: Depart your local pick up point and head north for your first night's accommodation at the Crieff Hydro Hotel, just in time for your evening meal DAY 2: A visit to Sterling and the site of the famous Battle of Bannockburn and then on to the historic town of Callender, where we will have time to explore DAY 3:Our scenic tour of The Trossachs National park will take in as much of the amazing scenery as possible to see many of the lochs and glens that abound in this part of Scotlend including the "bonny, bonny banks of Loch Lomond" DAY 4:Vistit the Famous Grouse Distillery and leanr just how The Glenturret Single Malt whiskey is produced (entrance Included) DAY 5: Depart after breakfast for your return journey to South Wales
